Day 77 - Floreana

Oh hello seal.
We started the day with a big breakfast and a zodiac ride to Floreana.  On the zodiac ride we saw blue-footed boobies, frigates, a lava heron, turtles, and seals.  On land there were flamingos, finches, and turtle nesting grounds!
Hello turtle with cleaning wrasse.

Our morning snorkel consisted of a swim around Devil's Crown, a large lava ring.  There we saw lots of seals and turtles.  After lunch, the afternoon was spent sleeping up on the top deck of the boat.

We prepped for our visit to Post Office Bay.  Just off of the beach, there is an old Post Office where you can drop off letters for later visitors to come pick up and send for you.  We tried to take photographs of ghost crabs, but got distracted when we saw a penguin in the water.  We quickly suited up and jumped into the water to snorkel.  Saw a ton of turtles!  Later I saw two penguins near a pelican, but they went under, and boy can they swim fast!  They were across the bay in minutes, and I tried to follow, but they were too fast.  On my across bay swim I encountered LOTS of turtles and 2 stingrays!
