Octopus
With all the animals we saw on our first day, we were excited to get a look at life underwater! After an early hotel breakfast we walked to Scuba Iguana, taxied to the ferry at the north end of Santa Cruz island, and boated just over an hour to get to our first dive site: Bartolome! Once in the water, notable sights included a white tipped reef shark, an octopus, and a moray eel!

Pinnacle Rock
Back on the boat we drove past Bartolome's Pinnacle Rock and were super excited to see some Galapagos Penguins (both sitting on land and swimming in the water)!

Turtle
Shortly after, we arrived at our second dive site: Cousin's Rock. This dive started off quite exciting with a couple sea lions playing with a starfish next to us, a pair of sleepy white tipped reef sharks (that we were able to get quite close to), a spotted eagle ray, and a turtle!
Once back in
Puerto Ayora we tried to get an early dinner, but the restaurant we first went to was only offering happy hour drinks and no food! A couple drinks later we walked down the road and found a stall selling fresh fried fish. Got some of that and had a great local meal!
