Day 47 - Mostly relaxing

Majorelle blue
Had another yummy breakfast at the riad and headed out.  This time we left the old Medina and went into the newer section of town to see Majorelle Garden.  In addition to having a beautiful garden (though with a preference for cacti, which I suppose has to do with Morocco's climate) it uses a deep-blue paint a lot, so much so that it's been named after the owner: Majorelle Blue.

Then we tried to buy stamps at the postoffice.  The postoffice is also a bank, and we had a hard time deciphering what line to stand in to get what we wanted.  Finally figured it out, or we were just lucky -- either way we left with some stamps for our postcards.

Found our way (eventually) to Cafe du Livre where we ate lunch, wrote postcards and updated our journals.  Then we walked across the Medina to check out Bahia Palace and maybe the Saadian Tombs.  However it appears that our guidebook is a bit out of date (or just wrong) and they were already closed by the time we got there.  D'oh!

A stork nest
Headed back to the riad (through the souks) only to find that it was too late for us to order dinner.  So like a bunch of bad kids we went to bed without any dinner (luckily we weren't hungry).
