Day 5 - Shopera!

Up early on Friday to check out Paddy's Market.  A great many stalls to peruse there (most of them were of the random tourist souvenir nature) and once we became unlost in the maze of stalls, we caught the train to Newton.  We found it to be a cross between Portland and the Mission (in SF).  A nice change of pace from Sydney itself!  Done with main street of Newton (but not with shopping!), we headed back to Sydney to stroll around the Queen Victoria Building and the Strand Arcade (not a video game arcade I'm afraid).

Popped back to the hotel to get changed, then it was off for a sushi dinner and over to the Sydney Opera House.  We'd managed to get tickets to the modern take on Orpheus in the Underworld -- once we adjusted our expectations it was quite fun (more of a musical than a traditional opera imho)!

A nice stroll along the harbourfront topped off the night!
